Retired BuildYourCNC Machines
These are the machines we designed and sold as kits over the years. None of them are sold as kits or assembled anymore, but we've kept the pages up for owners who need specs, frame dimensions, and part references, and for anyone deciding what to build next. Most of the designs live on as digital plans, and we still stock the controllers, motors, drivers, lead screws and anti-backlash nuts, and spindles that these machines use.

CNC routers
- blueChick v4.2 — 12"x36" desktop CNC router kit (also sold assembled). Closest current design: greenBull v2 2'x4' plans.
- blackToe v4.1 — 2'x4' chain-driven CNC router kit. Closest current design: greenBull v2 2'x4' plans.
- blackFoot v4 — 4'x8' CNC router kit. Closest current design: greenBull v2 4'x8' plans.
- greenBull 4X — 4'x8' heavy duty CNC router, greenBull 5X — 5'x10', and greenBull 6X — 6'x12'. Replaced by the greenBull v2 plans.
- greenBull 4X spindle/laser hybrid, 5X hybrid, and 6X hybrid — the same machines with a 40W CO2 laser on the gantry. The greenBull v2 plans include an optional laser gantry.
- greenBull v2 4'x8' and 5'x10' CNC router kit — the kit version of the current design, now sold as digital plans.
- greenLean v2 — wall-mounted vertical 4'x8' CNC router. Now sold as greenLean v2 digital plans.
- Fabricator Pro — all-metal 4'x8', 5'x10', 6'x12' CNC router. Now sold as Fabricator Pro digital plans.
Laser cutters
- blackTooth v2 — 40W CO2 laser cutter and engraver, 24"x20". We stock the tubes, power supplies, chillers, lenses, and mirrors to build or repair one.
- Vertical Laser XL — 4'x8' wall-mounted 80W CO2 laser. Now sold as Vertical Laser XL digital plans.
Other retired products
- redFrog — the hobbyist pick-and-place machine we used to assemble our own boards. Kept for reference.
- Hardware and plans kit for the Build Your Own CNC Machine book build (discontinued 2016). The parts list is still there for anyone building from the book.
What we sell today
The Woodsmith CNC Kit is the one machine we still sell as a complete parts kit, with free setup support. Everything else is in CNC Machine Kits & Plans.
